Current Position: Nutrition Education Coordinator/Pediatric Nutrition Specialist, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Seattle, WA Macris’ clinical focus has been in hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and nutrition support with a concentration in pediatrics. She has presented on the topic of nutrition and HCT at local, national, and international conferences and has published over 50 research papers, review articles, and book chapters in this area of practice. She is also involved in clinical research, food safety education, and coordinates the training program in oncology nutrition for dietetic interns.Macris received both her bachelor of science and master of science degrees from the University of Washington. She has held both elected and appointed positions in the Dietitians in Nutrition Support, Pediatric Nutrition, and Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Groups. She is the current treasurer of the Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group. |
