Cristina Martins, PhD, RDN

Current Position: Director and Professor, ICM de Educação and Pesquisa em Saúde, Curitiba, Brazil.

Martins´s current focus is online graduate education. She has been working with renal and parenteral nutrition patients, education and research for over three decades. Martins is author of the books Nutrição e o Rim (Nutrition and the Kidney), Diagnóstico em Nutrição – Terminologia Internacional (Nutrition Diagnosis – International Teminology), besides eight others. She is also author and co-author of over 30 scientific articles. Martins is reviewer for the Journal of Renal Nutrition. She is president of the Nutrition Committee of the Brazilian Society of Nephrology and also part of the Board of the Brazilian Nutrition Association (Asbran), which is representative in the International Workgroup for the Nutrition Care Process. Martins received her master´se degree in Clinical Nutrition from the New York University, USA, and doctorate in Medical Science – Nephrology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
